Your role within our powerhouse

As a Performance Engineer, you are the link between our developers and DevOps engineers. You optimize applications and infrastructure to ensure the best performance. Our applications mainly run in PHP/Symfony on FrankenPHP, which means you also have knowledge of Go. Profiling is an essential part of your job: you use profiling tools or our existing Grafana stack to identify and eliminate bottlenecks.

In addition, you work in a Kubernetes environment where the infrastructure is completely infrastructure as Code. You proactively contribute to scalability and performance improvements and contribute to a smooth and fast user experience.

You work with a team of experienced developers and DevOps engineers, who work from our office in Hilversum as well as remotely. We offer flexibility in working and an environment where you can continue to develop yourself. We breathe the startup mentality, which means that you get a lot of freedom to invent, develop and deliver new functionalities - often completely greenfield.

You work with a team of experienced developers and DevOps engineers, who work from our office in Hilversum or remotely. What we expect

You have in-depth knowledge of PHP and Symfony and know how to optimize applications in FrankenPHP. Go is not unfamiliar territory for you and you have experience analyzing performance issues using profiling tools or monitoring via Grafana. You have Kubernetes knowledge and understand how to fully manage infrastructure as code.
You get energy from 'shaving' milliseconds and you are analytically strong. You enjoy working with other engineers and are able to make improvements independently. You feel responsible for the performance and stability of our applications and are constantly looking for ways to further optimize them.
Bonus points for:

• Experience with PostgreSQL databases, RabbitMQ and Red is clusters.
• Knowledge of high-performance architectures and optimized workflows.
