Scroll along with Jennifer, from notification to closure

One claim through the eyes of the claimant. Left what she sees, right what happens in the background.

  1. 1
    Intake

    Notifying without a policy number

Sunday evening, twenty minutes, in fields. Eleven short steps; what Jennifer enters is read and checked in the background. Nothing has to be retyped later.

  2. 2
    Policy check

Quick check: am I in the right place?

Registration in, DVLA and policy alongside. Jennifer knows at once that the car is insured with this insurer and that cover on the accident date is confirmed. A duplicate claim is linked straight away.

  3. 3
    Extraction and checks

    Her own words become facts

Role, direction, right of way and point of impact come out of her story. Text and sketch are laid side by side; if they do not match, she gets one targeted question, while still notifying.

  4. 4
    Analysis

Injury and documents, enough for the route

No medical data at the front door, but enough to route properly. Photos and receipts are read and checked for authenticity. Minor injury, no financial hardship: the short route.

  5. 5
    Workflow and communication

A file, a handler and a deadline at once

Claim number, Emma as named handler and the counter to the liability decision. Everything is in the core system on day one, the confirmation arrives in her language and channel.

  6. 6
    Self-service

Her file, always up to date

Status, parties, interim payment and next step on one screen. Her solicitor and the medical expert work in the same file, each with their own rights. Nobody calls for the status anymore.

  7. 7
    Intake and checks

A receipt added, straight to Emma

Jennifer photographs the physio receipt. Amount and date are read, the line is in the schedule of loss and the balance moves with it. Emma sees it at the same moment.

  8. 8
    Communication and workflow

    Settlement, payment, file closed

The settlement agreement comes as a draft from the file and is signed in the portal. The final payment goes to the core system without retyping. The file closes for everyone at the same time.

On the other side of the file sits Emma. At every step the claims assistant prepares and the handler decides. That is the handler's journey, with the same engine underneath.
